Terms and Conditions

Lakewood guitars are warranted against defects in materials and craftmanship for ten years from the date of purchase.
This warranty excepts the following issues:

• normal wear and tear of the instrument and its parts
• defects that result from abuse, neglect or accident
• defects that result from extremes in humidity and temperature
• cracking or settling of the lacquer finish
• Modification and unauthorized repairs or alterations can void the warranty.
• Pickup systems

The warranty is transferable and only valid for new Lakewood instruments purchased from an authorized Lakewood dealer after June 2002.

Lakewood Guitars is in no event liable for indirect, incidential, or consequential damages, nor for lost profits or damages to or loss of property.

Hardware not manufactured by Lakewood, such as machine heads, cases, gig-bags, pickup-systems etc. are warranted for two years, only.

For warranty or other repairs please first contact your authorized Lakewood dealer who shall contact our service department via the Lakewood distributor in your country or directly at service@lakewood.de.

The instrument shall be sent shipping and insurance prepaid to the regional repair facility or directly to the Lakewood factory. Please enclose your address, phone number and a brief description of the nature of the defect. Lakewood will examine the instrument and make the repair and service according to our warranty. After completion of the service, the instrument will be returned by Lakewood to the owner, shipping and insurance to be paid by the owner. If it’s decided that the defect is not covered by the warranty and that the owner is not willing to pay for the cost of repair Lakewood will return the instrument without repairs, shipping and insurance to be paid by the owner.
